Neutron Stars in a Chiral Model with Finite Temperature
نویسندگان
چکیده
Neutron star matter is investigated in a hadronic chiral model approach using the lowest flavor-SU(3) multiplets for baryons and mesons. The parameters are determined to yield consistent results for saturated nuclear matter as well as for finite nuclei. The influence of baryonic resonances is discussed. The global properties of a neutron star such as its mass and radius are determined. Proto-neutron star properties are studied by taking into account trapped neutrinos, temperature and entropy effects. V. Dexheimer et al. 2

Different Magnetic Field Distributions in Deformed Neutron Stars
In this work, we review the formalism which would allow us to model magnetically deformed neutron stars. We study the effect of different magnetic field configurations on the equation of state (EoS) and the structure of such stars. For this aim, the EoS of magnetars is acquired by using the lowest order constraint variational (LOCV) method and employing the AV18 potential....
متن کاملProto-neutron and Neutron Stars
It has been shown that effective chiral hadronic models can satisfactorily describe nuclear matter, properties of finite nuclei as well as the structure of neutron stars1. While most of the approaches are based on variations of the linear sigma model or its non-linear realization, in the approach discussed here the scalar sigma meson serves to split the nucleon and its chiral partner (particle ...
متن کاملTricritical point of lattice QCD with Wilson quarks at finite temperature and density
First principle study of QCD at finite temperature T and chemical potential μ is essential for understanding a wide range of phenomena from heavy-ion collisions to cosmology and neutron stars. However, in the presence of finite density, the critical behavior lattice gauge theory without species doubling, is unknown. At strong coupling, we examine the phase structure on the (μ, T ) plane, using ...
متن کاملQCD Phenomenology based on a Chiral Effective Lagrangian
We review the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio (NJL) approach to the dynamical breaking of chiral symmetry in Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD). After a general overview of the non-perturbative aspects of QCD, we introduce the NJL model as a low-energy effective theory of QCD. The collective nature of hadrons and the constituent quark model are treated in a unified way. Various aspects of QCD related to the dynam...
متن کاملPhase Structure of Color Superconductivity and Chiral Restoration
In the ideal case at asymptotically high baryon density, the color superconductivity with two massless flavors and the color-flavor-locking (CFL) phase with three degenerated massless quarks have been widely discussed from first principle QCD calculations1. For physical applications we are more interested in the moderate baryon density region which may be related to the neutron stars and, in ve...
